2026 Young Composers Competition

Welcome from The Capital Hearings! We're so glad you're submitting your work. As a reminder, we welcome original, 2-5 minute compositions by U.S. and Canadian residents ages 18-40. Submissions should be voiced for a mixed a cappella vocal ensemble.Please be sure that you have read and understand the complete rules before completing this form.

Send questions to composers@thecapitalhearings.com. For 2026, works must be related to our theme of Once Upon A Time. We provide space to explain the relationship of your work to the theme below.
